The Story Behind the Taste
Our Sacred Heritage
Every great brand begins with a story.
For Ayam Kampung Haji Ahmad, that story begins in a quiet village in Rawang, Selangor. Haji Ahmad, the imam of Kampung Kenanga, was known as a man firm in his principles yet gentle of heart towards his community. He was often sought out by villagers, not only in matters of faith, but in everyday life as well.
At his home, he kept ayam kampung that roamed freely in the yard, searching for their own feed. These chickens were never merely livestock. They were part of the family's way of life. Haji Ahmad was also known for being deeply particular about food. To him, a meal was never just about filling the stomach; it had to be fresh, carefully prepared, and balanced in flavour.
There were times, as he grew older and his strength waned, when he would personally choose one of his own ayam kampung to be prepared as a family meal. That choice was always made with deep gratitude, an acknowledgement of the sustenance granted by God, and the dish would be cooked according to the family recipe handed down through generations.
It is from these memories that the inspiration for Ayam Kampung Haji Ahmad was born, carrying forward the spirit of a village imam who valued honesty, quality and simplicity above all. Every dish is prepared in the hope that our customers may taste something that reminds them of home cooking: sincere, delicious, and made with love.
